Have you ever felt like you needed a boost? I am talking about an enhancement to your look or should I say an upgrade to your style. We all feel this way sometimes, especially when we are feeling a bit down emotionally. When I get a new do and I look in the mirror, it makes me feel like a million bucks. My confidence goes through the roof and as some people say, you really start to "feel yourself."
When I feel like my look is a bit boring or getting super old, I embark on a change in wardrobe, makeup and hair. Afterall, a positive transformation always boosts my spirits ad makes me feel better about myself when I am going through any rough patches.
I use several brands of makeup, Different ones for different purposes. Buyt my go to foundation is Lancome. It matches my skin perfectly and lasts all day with no need for touch-ups. I love the bright colors which MAC offers for their eyeshadows. They are always bringing out something new and theor palettes never get old. I love brights colors for when I am feeling energetic and stick to the cool palettes for when I need to tone it down. My favorite eyeliners are also by MAC, but I love the face powders by Rimmel.
For hair, I love a good quality human hair weave. They are many hair stores out there, some of them with mediocre quality hair that profess to have the best quality. Then when you get it, there is nothing but disappointment. I have tried several companies and have found a great one which not only offers me nice hair bundles but also top notch service. I prefer wavy and curly hair so I always go for water wave, natural wave, deep wave and those types of hair textures. The hair gives me a beautiful style which lasts because of the quality level. Pair their hair with my makeup and a new outfit and I look like a supermodel. Looking like one makes me feel like one so I get a big confidence boost when I do my makeovers.
I always like to change me look anyways, just for the heck of it. Afterall, why not? When you can change your look on a budget to something different, why wouldn't you? I wouldn't consider myself a fashionista or anything like that but I just like the change in appearance from time to time. But when I am feeling crappy is the time I mainly go in for the biggest changes. After all, who does not like a little change sometimes, with a pop of color or a new outfit.
